Schofield hears the call from Pitchblack

AUCKLAND, Tuesday: Indie creative agency Pitchblack has named former Ogilvy NZ group CD Chris Schofield as creative partner.

Schofield said: “To be honest, I was bummed that it wasn’t Pitch Black, the acclaimed drum and bass duo from Christchurch on the phone. Those cats set the world on fire back in the day with their jazzy, homegrown electro.

“But Pitchblack the creative agency in Auckland is a good option, mostly because I won’t have to move to Christchurch – thank god, and no one really listens to drum & bass much anymore, anyway.

“Jokes aside, Josh Moore [Pitchblack principal partner/CCO] is a long-time friend and former colleague, and I couldn’t be more excited about joining the Pitchblack family

“Theirin-house production company, Jetblack, enables collaborative ways of working for creatives and clients. Which to me is the future of adland.”

“Amongst my peers in the industry, Josh was always the one to watch, and you’ll not find a more driven and dynamic creative leader than him.

“The Pitchblack model is unlike anything I’ve been involved with. Their in-house production company, Jetblack, enables collaborative and effective ways of working for creatives and most importantly clients. Which to me is the future of adland.

“The growth and success Josh and the team have seen in three short years is proof of that.”

Moore had a hand in Pak’n’Save Stickman, and Vogel’s What do you bring to the table?

A big drawcard is just how handy the agency is to the Vic Park skatepark, where he can often be found attempting to re-live his glory days as a pro skateboarder.
