AUCKLAND, Wednesday: Discovery ANZ has announced a key internal promotion, with NZ-based Kerry Leonard appointed to the senior manager – integration leadership role.
Discovery ANZ senior director for ad sales Donna Gurney (also NZ-based) said: “Kerry has been a hugely valuable member of the Discovery ANZ team over the past four years, most recently in a strategy lead role working with clients and agencies to create and deliver exceptional content and integration campaigns.
“Prior to joining Discovery ANZ, Kerry spent 15+ years working in senior roles in media, including at Ogilvy and NZME.
“Everyone who has worked with Kerry will have experienced the energy and passion she brings to her role.
“Cheers to bold moves, exciting partnerships and an incredibly bright future.”
“She’s incredibly strategic and constantly driven to outdo herself. I’ve no doubt that under her leadership, our integration offering will go from strength to strength. The timing couldn’t be better given our commitment to local content and the two exciting new channels we’re rolling out in March.”
Kerry Leonard said: “I’m very excited to be taking on this role, it’s personally been a great way to kick off 2022.
“We have an incredible team filled to the brim with strategic thinkers, creative dreamers and project managing superstars who all genuinely care about the work we do.
“Combine this with the amazing support of our agency and client partners – what can I say other than, we really are onto a winner. Cheers to bold moves, exciting partnerships and an incredibly bright future.”
‘Amazing’ replacement sought
Leonard’s appointment is effective immediately (“which also means,” says Donna Gurney, that Discovery ANZ is looking for an amazing person to step into Kerry’s previous role”).
