Richard Pook expands product role across dentsu ANZ

AUCKLAND, Today: Dentsu Media NZ has announced the launch of its newly formed ANZ product team, headed by Richard Pook as chief product officer. He will retain his base in Auckland, managing the AUNZ business on both sides of the Tasman.

NZ ceo Robert Harvey said: “This will accelerate dentsu’s product strategy and development across the region and supporting dentsu Media with best-in-class solutions.

“This will support the global practice development as part of dentsu’s continued transformation plan.

“Richard moves into this position after five years with dentsu Aotearoa as GM of platforms & partnerships, bringing global commercial experience across data, technology and product that will supercharge the  scalability of products in Australia & New Zealand.

“He most recently was awarded the Interactive Advertising Bureau NZ Digital Product of the Year Grand Award for D4, dentsu’s proprietary dynamic, multi-platform advertising technology that is being scaled  across the region. 


“Having witnessed Richard’s entrepreneurial spirit and ability to create market-leading products, I have no doubt the expansion of his role will only accelerate and further scale our digital product development.”

The dentsu programmatic and ad operations team under Jon Devereaux’s leadership will move to report to dentsu Media MD Richard Hale.

Australia-based dentsu Media ANZ ceo Sue Squillace said: “I cannot wait to see how Richard and the team accelerate and scale our products across our client and partners’ portfolios. I am very excited about what  his product team will achieve locally and globally for dentsu.”
