Wave Agency has bolstered its data-led digital offering in the Bay of Plenty and Auckland. Sarah Verkuylen (ex-Proximity, Colenso) has been recruited as Head of Digital in a new, Auckland-based role for the full-service agency.
Verkuylen joins Wave’s Digital Team Lead, Jessica Blake, who worked alongside her for over four years within the BBDO group. The pair delivered award-winning digital and social strategy and implementation for some of APAC’s most progressive brands including Spark, Mars, Fonterra, and Visa.
Glenn Dougal, Managing Director at Wave Agency says: “In this increasingly challenging market we knew we needed to do more to allow our clients to deliver on their brand goals swiftly, with more informed, insight-led creativity.
“It’s always been about a right-fit message or experience showing up at opportune moments for audience engagement – and by further leveraging data we can continue to deliver on that in a myriad of more sophisticated ways online.”
Verkuylen has already embedded herself into the role and is excited to see what the team can achieve.
“As an agency, we are focused on demystifying digital solutions for our clients – helping them to develop attainable roadmaps that impact success at a business level. “We love surfacing meaningful, digestible analytics that put our clients in the driving seat of digital decision-making,” she says.
As for getting the ‘dream team’ back together, Jessica Blake, Digital Team Lead says she’s enjoying merging expertise with her friend and former colleague once more.
“It’s great to have Sarah join the Wave team. Between us both, we hold 30 years of digital-marketing experience, and we’ve seen every trend out there. We are just as passionate as each other about delivering real insights and lasting results.”
