Recognising those making the most waves, the 2022 Outstanding Radio Creative Awards (ORCA) finalists have been announced, and voting is now open for the People’s Choice Award.
Judged based on creativity, execution, effectiveness, and innovation, the following campaigns have been selected:
Standard Campaign
- Health Promotion Agency New Zealand and FCB Aotearoa – How To Do Nothing

- Skinny and Colenso BBDO – Most Of The Internet Isn’t Worth Paying For

Non-Standard Campaign
- KFC and Stanley St – KFC Lolli-popcorn Chicken Vaxx Faxx
Anna Yates and Billy McQueen
- New Zealand Police and FCB Aotearoa – Survive The Drive FM
Tim Gavriel and Aaron Carbines
This year’s judging panel consisted of Kim Pick (VMLY&R New Zealand), Leisa Wall (FCB Aotearoa), Brad Collett (Stanley St), Anne Boothroyd (dentsu Aotearoa) and David Shirley (Special Group).

There will be a Grand ORCA awarded for both the Standard and Non-Standard campaign categories, and one overall People’s Choice Award:
- The Grand ORCA: $ 5000 Cash Prize and $ 5000 Radio Schedule (Rate Card)
- People’s Choice Award: $ 2000 Cash Prize and $ 2000 Radio Schedule (Rate Card)
ORCA winners will be announced over an awards luncheon on Thursday, August 25th.
