The Building Construction Industry Training Organisation (BCITO) – a subsidiary of Te Pūkenga Work Based Learning – and partners EightyOne and MBM have released new campaign encouraging young people and career switchers to consider a career in the trades.
The new work builds on the legacy of the organisation’s ‘Tricky Chat’ trilogy.
Enter Bev, Aotearoa’s most biased career advisor. With her deep knowledge and appreciation of the benefits of an apprenticeship and working in the trades, she knows there’s only one option for any young person looking for a rewarding and fulfilling career: construction of course!
“This campaign is more than driving recruitment, it’s also about changing perception,” says BCITO’s Head of Marketing and Communications Asharie Martelletti.
“We’re really thrilled that EightyOne and MBM have been on this journey with us as we continue to build people, build whanau and build communities.”
ECD Chris Bleackley believes that “Bev is nowhere near as biased as me. I reckon the team and everyone involved did a fantastic job”.
Bev the biased career advisor is live on TV, online, outdoor and social channels.
