Following the launch of 2022 Pixel Awards, LUMO has announced its judging panel for the event, featuring well-known creatives from the New Zealand advertising landscape.
The 2022 judging panel includes:
- Sam Stutchbury, Executive Creative Director at Motion Sickness
- Lee Lowndes, Managing Director at Daylight
- Tom Johnson, Creative Director at Special Group
- Kate Lill, Creative Partner at Pitchblack Partners
The Pixel Awards invites industry creatives to develop a dynamic and innovative campaign for an existing client, utilising LUMO Digital Outdoor’s suite of technology including LUMO’s smart billboard technology.
Lee Lowndes, Managing Director at Daylight says: “It’s great to see the Pixels back in action for 2022, it challenges creatives in the industry to think differently about OOH as a channel. We’re looking forward to seeing ideas brought to life through LUMO technology and seeing how creatives can push the boundaries this year.”
The winning campaign will receive $ 35,000 worth of media placement across the LUMO digital network to showcase the creative. Plus the creative team behind the chosen campaign will also take home a $ 5,000 cash prize, as well as a Pixel trophy designed by New Zealand artist, Simon Lewis Wards.
The judging criteria is based on the use of media, use of tech, design and effectiveness, and brand alignment. Creative teams will be judged on their ability to use LUMO’s innovative technology to create a dynamic and insightful campaign, how impactful their campaign is, and how well it translates in a digital out-of-home advert.
LUMO CMO Hamish Smith adds: “We’re starting to see more agencies realise the capabilities of DOOH, and hopefully the Pixels serve as a catalyst for more dynamic campaigns going live across our network. We’re thrilled with the reaction from the industry so far and we’re already working through a flurry of entries.”
Submissions will run through to October 1, and agencies and brands can enter online via the Pixels website.
