AUCKLAND, Tuesday: Colenso BBDO MD Angela Watson has confirmed the agency’s chief operating officer Paul Courtney is set to depart today – after 16 years on College Hill.
He now plans to start up his own production studio. Few other details were available at press time, and Watson said he may not be replaced.
“Paul was a unicorn,” she said. “We’ll be tweaking the role a bit.”
“We’ll be opening the studio in January,” Courtney says on his Linkedin page.
“I’ll do all the fun stuff, like build a website, hire some people, make some merch, buy some macs, set up the studio and plan a launch event.”
