AUCKLAND, Today: Integrated indie agency YoungShand has won the Heart of the City media business in an open competitive pitch. The incumbent was OMD.
MD Duncan Shand said: “We’re really excited about this win. There’s an important job to do to drive excitement, community and confidence to explore and play in the city centre again after nearly three years of lockdowns and we’re excited about playing our part in building heart in the city again.
“The pitch was an open pitch and after making through to the shortlisted round we pitched against some of the biggest media brands in the country.
“The win gives us confidence that a mid-sized independent can compete with the biggest media agencies in town.”

“I think the thinking, the experience and honestly with our size, our clients know that their business is important. It’s easy for mid-sized clients to be lost in the large multinationals.”
