DDB launches ‘heartwarming’ Xmas campaign

AUCKLAND, Today: As Christmas draws near, DDB Group Aotearoa and The Warehouse have launched a heartwarming campaign that can help make wishes of all sizes come true.

Nigel is the central character, with a special wish. As the story unfolds, Nigel’s dream is realised with the help of a little girl’s imagination and a gift from The Warehouse.

DDB CCO Gary Steele said: “With a nod to the classic holiday films we all grew up watching, the campaign is a modern take on a familiar Christmas wish story.


“The campaign is integrated across film, cinema, outdoor, digital, web, social media, radio, PR, print, in-store, partnerships, and influencers.”


“This campaign is all about what we can do for others this Christmas – and how helping someone accomplish their dream can light up their day – or even year.

“The campaign celebrates everything that is magical about Christmas – decorating and lighting up the tree, the excitement of finding the perfect gift, the anticipation of the night before,  and sharing special moments with your loved ones,”

The next phase
Nigel’s adventures don’t end here – the next phase of the campaign will be revealed later this month across digital and social media, along with a “world-first” media activation.

The campaign is integrated across multiple media outputs including film, cinema, outdoor, digital, web experience, social media, radio, PR, print, in-store, partnerships, and influencers.
