Our client is a production company based in Auckland, New Zealand producing stills, motion and content for some of New Zealand’s leading companies and brands. They work regularly with aroster of talent including Photographers, Videographers and Directors, also commissioning some of the best freelance talent available, to produce high quality campaigns, content, and image libraries.
They pride themselves on the strong relationships they have built over the years with their clients, and value developing relationships with their trusted creative partners, suppliers, and contacts. With an integrated Production team, they can provide clients with end-to-end solutions for any brief / project and pride themselves on the work they produce.
Our client is looking for a passionate, hardworking Producer with experience in both stills and film shoots to work within the Production team. The ideal candidate will be happy to get stuck in and enjoy working in the fast paced and lively environment. You will have an agile approach to projects, with a can-do attitude. You will be able to use your initiative and be able to pick up tasks quickly.
You will be confident working across multiple jobs at once, and you will thrive in creative environments. You will have great relationship building skills, with the ability to nurture relationships both internally with the Photographers / Videographers / Directors and the wider creative industry of freelancers, agencies, and clients.
You will be responsible for managing jobs from briefing stages right through pre-production, shoot, post-production, and asset delivery. Good time management and organisation skills are essential, along with a great eye and attention to detail. You will have a solid understanding of what it takes to get a job done to the highest of standards every time and can stay calm under pressure.
Your responsibilities will also include:
- Managing timing plans and budgets, ensuring clients, team members and freelancers have individual clarity of bookings, tasks, deadlines, and budgets
- Plan and organize stills / motion shoots – booking Photographers/Directors, booking freelancer stills/motion crew, stylists, models, locations etc
- Facilitate pre-production processes – including talent castings, location recces, contracts, equipment hire, deliveries, set build, art department and/or suppliers etc
- Assist with concepting, developing moodboards, creating pitch docs / treatments / folios, and styling when required
- Manage on-set production / shoots, ensuring shoot days run smoothly and all content is captured. Confidence and the ability to ensure schedules/shoot timings are adhered to is important
- Ensure Health and Safety is maintained and championed on set and during the course of daily operational activities
- Facilitate post-production requirements including image retouching and motion post-production (offline, online, grade mastering etc.)
- Uphold a professional and trusted relationship with all key clients and suppliers
- Establish and maintain active and constructive relationships within the roster of talent
- Contribute to weekly marketing materials – edm, social channels, website updates etc
- Maintain supplies and consumables
- Working collaboratively to support the other members of the Production team where needed
The ideal candidate will have the following experience:
- Previous experience in a Producer role within a Production company, or similar
- Previous hands-on experience working in stills / motion / content shoot environments
- A proven track record in delivering successful stills and motion shoots end-to-end working with industry creatives and freelancers
- Knowledge and capabilities with Adobe suite (specifically InDesign and Photoshop)
- Experience in Workflow / similar is a bonus
