Colenso BBDO, which won the NZ Agency of the Year award at the AXIS Awards and two Grand Prix at Spikes Asia, has emerged as the top-performing agency from New Zealand at the Clio Awards held in New York City.
Skinny’s ‘Phone It In’ campaign secured two Gold awards in the Radio and Outdoor categories. The user-generated content (UGC) campaign involved Kiwis contributing their voices to transform an out-of-home (OOH) campaign into an inexpensive radio campaign with the aim of maintaining affordability.
Spark ‘Beyond Binary Code’ earned one Silver and two Bronze in the Creativity/Storytelling, Use of Data, and Medium Innovation categories, respectively. Beyond Binary Code is continuing to improve online representation for the transgender and non-binary community by providing businesses with a simple code that updates website forms with gender-inclusive options, and raises the question whether gender data collecting is necessary at all.
Another Bronze was awarded to the MyHooman ‘Give Up On Humans’ radio campaign. The campaign used trainwreck online dating stories to encourage New Zealanders to ditch the dating apps and use MyHooman to match with a shelter cat instead.
The Grand Winners will be announced April 25th at the Clio Awards Ceremony in New York.
