SAN FRANCISCO, Friday: Twitter owner Elon Musk has stood down as ceo, and hired his own replacement. Musk announced the changeover this morning (on Twitter, of course).
The new ceo – who will take over in six weeks – is Linda Yaccarino, longtome media executive, and currently chair at NBCUniversal Media.
Musk’s announcement came only months after promised to step ack from the ceo role.
His new role
In a Tweet published this morning (Friday), Musk said he will now take the position of exec chair and CTO, “overseeing product, software & sysops”.
