AUCKLAND, Today: Sweetshop founders (with chairman Paul Prince) Melanie Bridge (director) and producer Sharlene George are stepping into co-ceo roles.
They replace Wilf Sweetland, who is stepping back from his global ceo position. Sweetland had been with The Sweetshop for 12 years, overseeing the company’s Australian business.
“Paul Prince will continue to serve as board chairman.”
Splitting the responsibilities is a strategic set-up for the duo, and they say their complementary skillsets will enable them to drive the company forward more effectively.
The production house now has offices in LA, London, Shanghai, Bangkok, Sydney, Melbourne and the Auckland flagship.
Prince will continue to serve as board chairman.
