Thomas Robins appointed as Head of Sky Originals

With a background spanning two decades as a writer, director, and producer of captivating dramas, comedies, films, and documentaries, Thomas Robins has now assumed the position of Head of Sky Originals.

Having joined the Originals team at Sky two years ago, he brings a wealth of experience and creative vision to the forefront of this exciting venture.

About the new role, Robins commented: “I’m flattered to be stepping into the role that my dear friend and colleague Annie Murray recently vacated.  Big shoes to fill.  I’m no Annie but look forward to carrying on her wonderful legacy and mahi and building Sky Originals by supporting exciting local creatives and telling brilliant stories from Aotearoa, New Zealand.”

Robins retains his position as commissioner of scripted content and will continue to work closely with Caroline Joll, Legal Counsel for Sky Originals. Together they will build the Sky Originals team and work to grow an exciting slate full of wonderful projects.
