Phantom takes verse to the streets

AUCKLAND, Today: Most media give strong support for NZ cultural events – and a standout would the enthusiasm and commitment we see regularly from Phantom Billstickers.

A shining example is Phantom National Poetry Day, celebrated on the fourth Friday in August, yearly.

This year, it’s this Friday (25 August).

These non-commercial events consume a lot of energy, and the Phantom teams will be rolling up their sleeves and take their paste pots to the streets of the nation with some fine contemporary word-work – and a series of associated live events.

“Poetry will pop up in churches, bookshops, libraries and out on the streets. There will be poetry through music, poets sharing an open mic, book launches, and poetry walk.”

Phanmail: “It’s an extraordinary array of events that promise to soothe, delight and uplift us all are planned.
