Every year, almost 90,000 people in New Zealand are diagnosed with a form of skin cancer. With sunnier weather on its way (we live in hope), Skin Institute has issued an important reminder to Kiwis to get their skin checked because ‘skin cancer doesn’t care that you are busy’.
Production agency The Post Office worked with Skin Institute to develop the creative direction and strong call to action as well as take care of production and delivery.
Steve Gulik, Founder and Director, The Post Office, says: “As Kiwis, we are notorious for putting things off and avoiding uncomfortable conversations. This campaign needed to strike the right balance between getting the message across, without using scare tactics. We engaged real people and interviewed them in a simple but elegant studio setting. No distractions, just their skin and their story.
Emma Rock, Marketing Manager, Skin Institute says: “Too often we hear people say that they wished they had come in sooner for a skin check. This campaign is a new direction for us and we truly believe by sharing these brave stories we can save people’s lives. The Post Office was more than our production partner. They brought our idea to life, from developing the creative direction, engaging the talent through to production and delivery and we are excited to see it launched.”
The campaign went live on 11 September 2023 and will be displayed across New Zealand through OnDemand, YouTube pre-roll, OOH and social media.
