Liz Fraser has resigned from her role as Commercial Director at MediaWorks and is departing the company.
She will join online travel and expense management technology provider, Serko Ltd, in the role of Chief Revenue Officer in the new year.
This move follows the full time appointment of Wendy Palmer as MediaWorks CEO, which was announced in late August. This was a role which Fraser was largely considered to be a contender according to NZME’s Editor-at-Large Shayne Currie’s Media Insider column.
MediaWorks CEO Wendy Palmer says: “Since joining MediaWorks in March 2021, Liz has led her team with passion and drive and has built fantastic relationships with our agency partners and customers. Liz was instrumental in navigating the business through the covid lockdowns and the challenges of the pandemic.
“She also played an important role in helping establish and embed the purpose and values that form the backbone of our culture change programme. Under Liz’s leadership the commercial team has done a brilliant job of retaining customers in the toughest of markets.”
Prior to 2021 Fraser worked for six years at Air New Zealand, holding the roles of Regional General Manager for the America’s, and Customer General Manager.
Fraser says she is looking forward to this new journey and getting back into the travel industry at Serko Ltd.
“I’m excited to be joining a team that is truly passionate and dedicated to creating products and providing services that make a difference in the world of business travel,” she told Media Insider.
