TBWA\NZ is gearing up for a busy 2024 by boosting its offering with senior hires in planning, Mark Lloyd, and account service, Priyanka Patel.
Lloyd joins the growing planning and strategy team having recently arrived from London. He’ll take up the position of Strategy Director. His previous experience includes Lucky Generals and Dark Horses, both TBWA network agencies.
“Everyone at TBWA has made me feel incredibly welcome since washing up on the shores of Aotearoa,” says Lloyd.
“I’ve always envied New Zealand’s advertising talent pool from afar, so it’s a pleasure to come into work every day and see it up close. The planning team are ambitious, smart and, above all, bloody lovely, so feeling #blessed to be joining the ranks.”
Arriving from Deloitte Digital is Patel, who will be leading the ANZ account as Group Account Director.
Prior to Deloitte, she was at Special New Zealand where she led the launch of the new Kiwibank brand platform. While at Special, she was named Campaign Asia ‘Account Person of the Year 2022’. She arrives with years of experience under her belt, the awards to match, and drive to deliver creative and game-changing work for clients.
“It feels good to be back in an agency,” said Patel. “There’s an awesome energy here and it transpires in the work. TBWA’s passion for creating thought-provoking and impactful work has always stood out for me. The agency has created – and is still creating – some of New Zealand’s strongest brands, and I’m excited to be part of the journey.”
Both bring a wealth of experience across numerous national and international brands and Catherine Harris, Chief Executive of TBWA\NZ Group, is excited by what it means for the company’s clients and the future growth of the agency.
“It’s always a highlight when brilliant talent joins your team. Both Mark and Priyanka are incredibly talented and have both have immediately impacted our work and our culture,” says Harris.
“We have so many opportunities across the group at the moment, having world class talent who can run with them is the key. Both Mark and Pri are leaders who will ensure we deliver the most disruptive and effective brands and experiences while we grow at pace. It has been a highlight to work with Mark on some winning pitches already and to see his work on our biggest brands. Pri has made an immediate impact leading the ANZ team, with some incredible work coming up. We can’t wait to see what they both achieve over the coming months.”
