PrettyGood, a recently launched brand and media business, has welcomed global advertising and marketing expert Jonathan Lyon as co-founder and chief product officer.
Lyon brings over 25 years of marketing leadership experience, having held senior roles at OMD New Zealand, Digitas NYC, TEDx Auckland, and Wunderman in London, where he drove strategies centred on human insights at scale.
Lyon will work with PrettyGood CEO and co-founder Hamish Smith to make marketing solutions more affordable for small and medium businesses across Australasia, while allocating a share of the revenue to support community initiatives and local charities.
Smith says of Lyon joining PrettyGood: “Jonathan is an internationally recognised marketing pioneer who has dedicated his career to elevating customer insights and accelerating media innovation.
“His expertise and shared commitment to using business as a force for good make him an ideal co-founder as we work to reset the marketing and media landscape across Australasia. I’m really looking forward to working with him and offering his fresh thinking to our clients.”
Lyon says of his appointment: “I’m thrilled to join PrettyGood on their trailblazing journey. By seamlessly blending cutting-edge marketing solutions, transparent pricing strategies, and impactful corporate giving initiatives, we can empower small and medium enterprises while collectively working towards a better world.
“It’s this beautifully orchestrated convergence of ethical business practices and positive social impact that fuels my passion and drives me forward each day.”
Lyon founded the “Appiness” social enterprise concept designed to alleviate poverty and homelessness through direct peer-to-peer connections. Since launching PrettyGood in April 2024, Smith has worked closely with the Kindness Collective and Springboard donating $ 10,000 since the launch.
Smith concludes: “At our core, Jonathan and I want to leverage new thinking and technologies that can make a real difference for underserved communities. PrettyGood is charting that path by empowering the businesses that fuel local economies, while simultaneously fueling positive impact for people in need.”
