MELBOURNE, Today: Australia and New Zealand’s top outdoor brand, Kathmandu, has teamed up with Kiwi Red Bull F1 Reserve Driver, Liam Lawson, for an editorial-inspired campaign.
The campaign launches Kathmandu’s latest innovation, the EpiqSE Down Jacket, a special edition of their classic puffer.
To showcase the jacket’s style, Kathmandu created an editorial-inspired photoshoot featuring Lawson. Renowned Australian photographer, Simon Lekias, captured the shots, while Auckland’s Sammy Salsa styled the shoot.
The photoshoot took place at Hampton Downs, south of Auckland. This location holds special significance as it’s near Lawson’s childhood go-kart track, offers a picturesque green backdrop, and includes a makeshift photography studio, essential for any fashion shoot.
Australian Cinematographer, Will Braden, filmed a series of videos to amplify the campaign’s storytelling. This includes an interview with Lawson and behind-the-scenes footage.
“Liam Lawson for Kathmandu” launches on Wednesday, 15 May 2024. The campaign will run out-of-home, online, in-store, and across social and paid media.
