LONDON, Today: Jo Malone’s latest ad, London at Play, produced by NOIR, stars Tom Hardy and is directed by the award-winning Edward Berger.
Filmed over two nights, the ad highlights London’s vibrant spirit. Tom Hardy leads viewers through the city, showcasing its unique charm.
The script was a team effort by Jo Malone’s creative director Wandjina, Tom Hardy, Chips Hardy, and Edward Berger. They collaborated closely from start to finish.

Edward Berger praised Tom Hardy, saying, “Tom Hardy is one of the greatest actors of our time, so to collaborate with him was an absolute dream. We made every shot a labor of love and Tom’s care really shone through.”
Cinematographer James Friend used 35mm, 16mm, and digital formats to create a timeless look. The score, crafted by Volker Bertelmann, enhances the film’s classic London vibe.
