WELLINGTON, Today: Fortune Favours and Junior Films are teaming up for a nostalgic ad, sharing the story of four friends chasing their brewing dream.
Since 2017, Fortune Favours has built a loyal following and now distributes its award-winning beers across New Zealand. “Since our beers are now being recognised across the country, we wanted to remind people we’re proudly an independent Wellington brewery,” said CEO Shannon Thorpe.
To emphasise this, Thorpe explained they chose to “deviate from traditional beer marketing” and focus on an “unpretentious” product. “Junior were a natural choice for producing this ad, they live and breathe our values, are fiercely independent, and have perfectly translated our origin story for this project.”
“This project came to life over a few beers with our friends at Fortune. Once we heard their origin story, we decided it had to be shared.”
Junior Films CEO Ryan Allen shared, “This project came to life over a few beers with our friends at Fortune. Once we heard their origin story, we decided it had to be shared.”
The ad humorously follows Shannon, Dale Scott, and Marcus as they leave their traditional careers to brew great beer for everyone.
“Junior is a production agency working with brands on creative advertising and digital content creation. We wouldn’t say no to a beer with most of our clients, and that’s the type of business relationship we aim to achieve. We’re known for our work with iconic Wellington brands, so this is just another example of the incredible teams we get to work with,” said Ryan.
The project will be live across digital and owned channels from March 18. To experience where the magic happens, visit the Fortune Favours brewery at 7 Leeds Street or find their award-winning beers at your local supermarket or bottle store.
