TUX celebrates 70 years of tail-wagging fuel

AUCKLAND, Today: TUX, the iconic Kiwi dog food brand, is celebrating 70 years of keeping dogs fuelled and ready for action.

To mark the occasion, TUX has revived its classic 90s advertising jingle. Kiwis can now sing along once again as the new TV ad follows a brave city dog’s eventful first day on the farm.

Legendary composer Murray Grindlay, who created the original jingle, shared, “I’ve written many jingles in my time, but this is easily a favourite. I wanted to give a nod to the Kiwi man’s best friend – the humble farm dog.”

TUX has also teamed up with Kiwi brand Mr Vintage to launch a limited-edition range of birthday merchandise, including t-shirts, bucket hats, sweatshirts, and tote bags featuring the TUX logo and snippets of the jingle.

Nestlé Purina New Zealand Head of Marketing Mark White said, ”70 years of fuelling dogs across New Zealand is a huge milestone! Our TUX birthday merch and nostalgic advertising jingle is set to have Kiwi dog lovers singing along while spending time with their furry friends.”

TUX anniversary merchandise is available for men, women, and children here starting in September.
