Meadow Fresh ambassador and loyal milk-lover Steven Adams is sharing how he became more “awesome” – by drinking a Meadow Fresh Quick Brekkie.
DDB Aotearoa and Meadow Fresh have launched their new campaign that shows Steven like you’ve never seen before, in anime form.
The video begins with an animated basketballer on screen, with a close up shot revealing it’s none other than Steven Adams, who is a huge anime fan.
He grabs his favourite Quick Brekkie and immediately becomes “a bit more awesome”, undergoing a classic Super Saiyan-esque transformation, complete with thunder and energy ball, as made famous by shows like Dragon Ball Z.
Anime content ‘a lifelong dream‘
“When the big man says, I like anime. You make an anime,” says Freddie Coltart – DDB Aotearoa Creative Director. “Which conveniently, is a lifelong dream for all us creative nerds. Huge shout out to Flux for many, many hours of drawing.”
Jennifer Jones, Meadow Fresh Marketing Manager said that they were stoked to bring a new version of Steven to life, especially because of his commitment to the brand.
“Steven is not just the animated face of the campaign, he helped develop the product, has been invested in its creation since the start, and really enjoyed his first time in a recording studio!” Jennifer said.
“We are proud to show the power of a Meadow Fresh Quick Brekkie in a fun, engaging way.”
Not only is Steven front and centre of the new campaign, he is also featured in the packaging, avaliable in three new flavours, Vanilla being his personal favourite.
