VMO adds two new large screens to NZ network

AUCKLAND, Today: VMO is on the move again, adding two impressive large format screens to its New Zealand retail network.

The latest addition is at Barrington Community Shopping Centre in Spreydon, Christchurch. Here, a double-sided banner LED screen looms over six metres high and two metres wide, perfectly placed in the busiest part of the mall to catch shoppers’ eyes.

Another recent setup was in December at Highbury Birkenhead, a buzzing hub for entertainment and dining in Auckland’s Birkenhead Village. This screen, also double-sided and four metres in size, adds to the area’s vibrant atmosphere.

Highbury is known for its Woolworths and Live Wire Super Park, the largest indoor playground in New Zealand.

Rob Forsyth, VMO’s Commercial Director in New Zealand, is excited about the impact of these installations. He said, “These new sites are another great example of our commitment to giving brands more opportunities to connect with consumers across the retail space.”

“It also expands our growing large format network, which is being deployed in key strategic retail locations nationally. After successfully launching our first site at Ormiston Town Centre, we have more sites in the pipeline set to roll out across the year.”

VMO kicked off its retail media network in New Zealand last August, securing advertising rights to over 20 significant locations including Auckland, Christchurch, Wellington, and smaller regions like Invercargill and Taupō.

By the end of 2025, VMO plans to have over 50 locations operational, featuring a mix of large format and supermarket proximity screens.
