AUCKLAND, Today: Women’s sport in New Zealand has a rich history, but it still lacks the recognition and support it deserves. Less coverage, lower funding, and fewer resources make it harder for girls to stay in the game.
In 2025, 2degrees is ramping up its commitment to women’s sport through its Fighting for Fair initiative. Off the back of the game-changing Aupiki TikTok final, TBWA launched the SupportHER Club to champion female athletes at every level.
“This campaign is designed to flip the script and give women and girls in sport the backing they need to thrive. Sport is so much more than competition,” says Shane Bradnick, Chief Creative Officer at TBWA\NZ.
“It’s about finding your people, growing your confidence, and experiencing the pure joy of the game. With the SupportHER Club, we see this as a rich territory to ensure every girl feels they have that chance.”
The agency kicks off the partnership with Don’t Sleep On It, a cheeky campaign for Cheesy Bites™. The ad warns that indulging may lead to a strange side effect—so-called ‘cheese dreams.’
The launch stirred intrigue, with influencers fuelling an online conspiracy before rolling out across TV, OOH, print, and in-store.

The win adds to Motion Sickness’ streak of new clients and industry recognition. Alex McManus, GM, shared what this appointment means for the agency.
“The opportunity for Motion Sickness to partner with a global name like Pizza Hut is incredibly exciting and something we really value – I think it highlights the direction this talented team is heading after such a big year prior. From the first meeting I think it was clear we would work well together.”
The campaign will launch across TV, VOD, digital, social media, and OOH throughout March, ensuring the message reaches and inspires as many people as possible.
Grassroots organisations, schools, and sporting bodies across New Zealand are already working to level the playing field. 2degrees is proud to amplify their efforts—because when we back women’s sport, everyone wins.
