Otago Polytechnic has appointed Chemistry to develop and execute a refreshed brand and marketing strategy.
The institution’s five-year plan aims to cement Otago as NZ’s premier educational institution for vocational learning.
Chemistry’s role will be to work with the marketing team to fully realise its growth targets. Otago Polytechnic provides high-quality, career-focused tertiary education with a campus in Dunedin and an international campus in Auckland.
Otago Polytechnic is part of Te Pūkenaga, a national network for all the country’s 25 polytechnics and industry training organisations founded to better serve the needs of employers, communities and learners. In December 2023, the new government announced that it intends to disestablish the national organisations, requiring Otago Polytechnic to prove its ability to operate independently once again.
Desired choice
“Our vision is to disrupt the market and make Otago Polytechnic the most desired choice for vocational study in NZ. Chemistry have an impressive track record of creating impactful brand platforms that change behaviour. With a desire to disrupt the market and make Otago Polytechnic the most desired choice for transformational and vocational study in NZ, appointing them was a no-brainer,” says Gus Geary, Director of Marketing & Communications, Otago Polytechnic.
Marija Ewan, Business Partner, Chemistry adds, “Otago Polytechnic’s practical learning and industry-aligned learning equips students with work ready skills. Paired with the stunning lifestyle in Otago, makes it an attractive choice for students in New Zealand. We are thrilled to share their story and inspire students from all over to come and study in Dunedin!”
Chemistry’s Executive Creative Director Sarah Chernishov says, “Our creative strategy will be anchored by Otago Polytechnic’s compelling and unique proposition which is underpinned by their strong academic programmes and amazing teaching staff. They also offer a welcoming campus environment and the very appealing South Island lifestyle offered by Dunedin and greater Otago.”
Chemistry’s appointment is effective immediately.
