CHRISTCHURCH, Today: Auckland creative/production indie Augusto, with media partner Together, has announced a “blossoming new friendship” with retirement/aged care provider Arvida, with the launch of their new Good Friends campaign.

Augusto commercial director Amy Dufty said: “A determination to challenge the retirement industry and enable people to keep enjoying their lives into old age no matter where they live have seen Arvida launch their new membership service in Christchurch.

“This service gives older Cantabrians access to their new Living Well Community Centre, private home helpers and rideshare transport designed to enable people to remain living successfully and independently in their own homes whilst creating more social connections with their community.

“To launch this initiative, Augusto and Arvida have partnered on a campaign that will play out across Canterbury, in cinemas, digital, press, and radio that aims to give older New Zealanders the choice to have all the freedom they need to ‘Keep doing you’. 

“We are excited to begin a new relationship with Arvida. The team approached us as a challenger brand in a rather competitive category to showcase a new approach and we were delighted to take on the challenge.”

Arvida head of brand Kylie Gibson said: “We all know someone older who wants to keep living in the home they love but now needs some form of support or who needs more ways to be socially connected.

“Whilst it’s easy to fall into the familiar old-person ad style, we wanted to create a campaign that was modern, uplifting and much more relatable for our audience.”
