We’re looking for a Sales Superstar to join our Commercial team!
The opportunity – Te tūranga
In this role reporting to the Group Account Director, you will help lead the revenue delivery strategy for your agency and client account group. The role will be accountable for the delivery of sales revenue targets across TV and Digital.
You will support the Group Account Director by adopting disciplined Account Management plans and contribute to a CRM engagement plan on growing TVNZ’s revenue share.

Account Management
- Develop and championing an annual account plan with support from the Group Account Director that will deliver against revenue budget and share growth for TV and Online.
- Support the Group Account Director in executing Account Plans and CRM (or other) sales and planning tools and methodologies across your allocated accounts.
- Ensure that strong strategic business encounters/relationships are developed and maintained with agencies and advertisers specific to the Go To Market strategy
- Ensuring the revenue funnel & forecasts for your accounts is actively managed weekly and reported against on a monthly basis as a critical diagnostic tool to assist in achievement of TV and Online revenue targets.
- Ownership of campaign set up for both TV and Online within TVNZ sales system including deal guidelines and negotiation parameters.
- Keep abreast of competitor activity, plans, achievements and marketplace positioning.
- Participate in assigned Demand Creation projects with the Blacksand & partnerships team to pro-actively target incremental revenue from selected key accounts. Ensure the ethical and procedural guidelines are adhered to.
Negotiations
- Identifying opportunities for winning significant revenue.
- Consult and support on partnership agreements relevant to your account group.
- Plan and deliver final recommendations, with input and support of your Group Account Director, on Terms of Trade & campaign negotiations for your accounts.

To be successful in this role, we are looking for:
- Passion and understanding of the changing media landscape and how TV and Online work together.
- Strong working knowledge of Media Book booking system, intellecta, digital sales system, Nielsen research system, TV Map and Microsoft package.
- Strong computer literacy.
- Sales and negotiation skills.
- Proven customer service and account management skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
- Media planning and buying skills.
- Understanding of clients marketing and advertising strategies.
- High level of commitment, drive, and energy.
- Ability to think creatively and laterally.
- Resilient and tenacious.
