The TVNZ-NZ Marketing Awards are back again for another year in 2023, celebrating some of Aotearoa’s most exceptional marketing strategies, campaigns and individuals.
Each year, event organisers NZ Marketing magazine and NZ Marketing Association put out a call to marketers across the country to share their stories of creativity, tenacity and hard-won results that have made a difference to their businesses and brands.
The TVNZ-NZ Marketing Awards is the local industry’s annual opportunity to celebrate all that goes into award-winning marketing in New Zealand across 30 awards in three categories, namely Marketing Excellence Awards, Marketing Campaign Awards and Individual Awards.
“If you have a marketing strategy that’s delivered incredible results, a campaign that’s taken your brand to new heights, or work with an individual you feel is worthy of being celebrated by the wider industry, now’s the time to brag about by entering New Zealand’s premier celebration of marketing excellence,” says David Nothling-Demmer, Editor of NZ Marketing magazine.
More specifically, the Marketing Excellence Awards recognise excellence in specific disciplines across different sectors that demonstrate how effective marketing strategy has led to measurable results for a business or brand. An extension of this marketing strategy, the Marketing Campaign Awards recognise innovative and agile marketing initiatives that have identified short-term opportunities/challenges that have delivered tangible results within a 12 month or less period. Finally, the Individual Awards recognise marketing professionals who have been instrumental in the overall marketing success of a business or brand, both in the short- and long-term. The Awards follow a robust judging process led by the NZ Marketing Association and Convenor of Judges, Michael Friedberg.
“Each year we pull together a judging panel made up of respected marketing and business leaders who have a keen eye for exceptional marketing strategy, innovation and creativity. We know they will be super excited to see this year’s calibre of marketing entries and marketers leading the way,” says John Miles, CEO of NZ Marketing Association.
Following a successful event in 2022, which saw over 900 industry professionals come together and recognise the pinnacle of marketing success on Awards Night, preparations are well under way for the 2023 event on Wednesday, September 6 at Spark Arena. A night on the awards calendar not to be missed.
The 2023 TVNZ-NZ Marketing Awards are once again proudly brought to you by Premier Sponsor and supporter of exceptional marketing in New Zealand, TVNZ, as well as Category Sponsors oOh!media, Stuff, NZME, The Radio Bureau, ThinkTV, REACH, Cartology and Are Media.
“Every year I’m impressed by the calibre of marketing work on offer in Aotearoa. In challenging conditions, Kiwi marketers have once again risen to the occasion, adapting to a fast-moving landscape with optimism and pragmatism. Good ideas, innovation and ingenuity should be recognised and that’s why TVNZ is a proud sponsor of the NZ Marketing Awards. We’re looking forward to celebrating the finalists and winners later this year,” says TVNZ Marketing Director, Jonathan Symons.
