AUCKLAND, Today: ‘Coverage anxiety’ is a big issue for travellers these days. Southern Cross Travel Insurance (SCTI) found that 53% of international travellers faced disruptions in 2023. Their new omni-channel campaign aims to give peace of mind during such events.
The campaign, launched in April by Spark Foundry New Zealand in partnership with NZME, includes support from oOh!Media, JCDecaux, and Shout as OOH partners. Using data-driven insights, SCTI created pick-a-path scenarios across radio, digital audio, digital, and video platforms. These scenarios show how SCTI covers travellers no matter what happens.
Interactive content across press, podcasts, and newspaper puzzle takeovers engages various audiences. It playfully demonstrates that Southern Cross Travel Insurance has you covered no matter the path you choose on your holiday.

The campaign also features immersive street furniture builds in high-impact areas, including Auckland Airport. These builds transport people to destinations like Paris, Morocco, and Fiji, inspiring future trips. Auckland Airport even has a “relaxation zone” with phone charging ports and children’s entertainment.
