AUCKLAND, Today: Westhaven full-service indie Chemistry has appointed two managing partners and expanded its client service capabilities with a senior account manager promotion and a new hire.
Founding director Joseph Silk said: “Business directors Mel Moss and Penny Wolhuter, have been integral to the agency’s growth for nearly four years, jointly leading the agency’s client service teams, as well as driving new business.
“In the newly created role of managing partner, the two will enjoy a broader strategic remit across the entire agency.
Moss and Wolhuter said (in a joint release): “We’re so excited about building, nurturing and celebrating our unique agency culture and helping drive the wider growth of the agency.
“We hear it all the time from our clients, but Chemistry really is a one-of-a-kind agency and we’ve some awesome plans to tangibly strengthen our capability.
“Plus it’s an added bonus that we get to do it together.”

The agency has also promoted Roshani Mehta to senior account manager in recognition of her outstanding work on the Z and Samsung accounts.
Mehta said: “The agency is going through some really cool changes right now. I feel seriously privileged to be part of such a talented team.”
Joseph Silk said the promotions recognised Chemistry’s ongoing investment in growing their people: “Mel, Penny and Rosh have gone from strength to strength and really live our agency purpose of creating significant success for ourselves and our clients”, he said.
New hire Hitesh Patel also joins the Chemistry team as account manager. Patel was formerly at Track on the Vodafone account, and at Ogilvy NZ, where he worked with the Briscoe Group, Carl’s Jr and KFC, Sealord and Coca Cola Amatil.
A qualified personal trainer and rugby league star, Patel said: “I chose Chemistry as their core values really appealed to me and tied in to my own personal values.
“Having each other’s back and always finding ways to grow were two of the values that really stood out. For me, it’s really important to keep learning and progress – and have some fun along the way of course.”
