LONDON, Today: Clemenger BBDO Wellington has cleaned out the first stage of the NZ section of the The Cresta Awards, picking up 19 places on the creative shortlist – the only NZ agency to get through.
All of Clemenger’s finalist spots are from the celebrated NZ Transport Authority campaign – 15 for Belted Survivors (in Print/OOH/Posters/Integrated/Art Direction/Photography),two for The Unsaid (Best Use of Facebook, and the Media Magic Award), and one for Liberated Drivers (60sec tvc).
“We had a spectacular response, with an incredible diversity of work,” says Cresta President Alan Page.
“While familiar names from the US and Europe remain prominent, there’s a surge in Australasian and Middle East participation.”
“Work from 46 countries is represented across the entries that made it through to the strongest shortlist I think we have ever seen.
“While familiar names from the USA and leading European nations remain prominent in the shortlist, there is a surge in Australasian, Asian and Middle East participation. The strongest country is Germany with 116 shortlisted works, ahead of the USA with 92.
Winners of the Gold, Silver and Bronze awards will be revealed on Monday 28 September.
