SYDNEY, Today: Special Group AUNZ has earned 13 finalist spots at Australia’s B&T Agency of the Year Awards – including Advertising AoY, NZ AoY, Branding, Design & CX AoY and Independent AoY.
Special’s Good Morning World campaign for Tourism New Zealand is a finalist in Best Ad Campaign, Best Digital Campaign, Best Social Media Campaign, Best Content Marketing Strategy of the Year and the B&T Award for Bravery.
Good Morning World was the only entry from NZ. This follows a win at AdNews Campaign of the Year, Pencils at D&AD and One Show, and a Global Effie – the first ever for a New Zealand campaign.
Great result for an incredibly hard year!
“Special was born in New Zealand 13 years ago this month.”
Special’s Auckland-based head of client service, Storm Day, said: “The continued admiration of this campaign in one of our most important markets, Australia, is down to the brilliance and hard work of the whole team at Tourism New Zealand.
Well done to them for all of their finalists.”
Special Australia is also a finalist for Advertising AoY, Independent AoY. And their Tonight I’ll be Eating campaign for Uber Eats is a finalist in Best Ad Campaign and Best TV Campaign.
Special founder/CEO/CCO Tony Bradbourne said: “It’s very rare for any New Zealand agency to get a single finalist at B&T – let alone across multiple categories.
“Special was born in New Zealand 13 years ago this month, so to get 13 finalists across the group is a great little birthday present.
B&T is Australia’s biggest and longest running AoY Awards, and one of the most rigorous. Each finalist has to do a live 30min zoom presentation to a jury later this month.
