SYDNEY, Tuesday: TBWAMelbourne senior creative Alex Metson has relocated to Clemenger BBDO Wellington – after a gap year in Melbourne that lasted eight years.
Aussie site Campaign Brief reports that Metson spent his time away at Clemenger BBDO Melbourne, Leo Burnett and TBWA, as well as freelancing from the beaches of Bali.
“In that time,” says CB writer Ricki Grreen, “Metson has been one of the brains behind creatively outstanding work on clients such as SPC Ardmona, Carlton United Breweries, United Nations, WorkSafe Victoria and Honda.
“I was in the midst of a great time at TBWA Melbourne when Brigid called, but at the end of the day I just couldn’t resist the pull.”
Clemenger Wellington ECD Brigid Alkema says the agency is thrilled he has decided to return: “Alex is known for his creative energy, and his thinking will be a great addition to our small but mighty team. He’s sharp, curious and brave – the qualities we want both in our work and our talent.”
Metson: “I was in the midst of a great time at TBWA Melbourne when Brigid called, but at the end of the day I just couldn’t resist the pull. Clemenger Wellington consistently punch well above their weight on the creative front, and they’re heading into new creative spaces.
“I want in.”
