YoungShand has welcomed Andrea Long, who joins as Head of Media, as the Indie agency expands its previous digital focus to a full media offering.
MD Duncan Shand says the team is “really excited” about the new addition.
“We have admired Andrea’s work for a long time since we worked together on the Lion account. Andrea has always been fantastic to partner with; she’s a brilliant, collaborative media leader who brings innovative media thinking into creative ideas. We’re thrilled to have her on the team to lead the development of our broader integrated media offering.”
YoungShand has always had a strong digital media offering, but recent wins have resulted in clients wanting a comprehensive media approach fully integrated into the creative product.
Shand adds: “As a full-service creative agency, it makes sense for our media offering to expand, ensuring that we’re providing integrated creative and media expertise across all channels, allowing us to take full responsibility for driving results.”
Working within the advertising industry for over 15 years, Long’s prior roles across creative and finance have been the perfect springboard to positions in the media. Previous clients include Disney, Lion NZ, Dilmah, Mother Earth, House of Travel, Public Trust, nib Health Insurance and Auckland City Mission. Recent accolades include a Gold Beacon for Best Media Activation 2020.
Long says: “I’m thrilled to be joining the team as I’m passionate about Kiwi businesses, so a key part of the move was the ability to focus on helping grow New Zealand brands both here and internationally. The integrated nature of the agency allows us real on-the-floor agility that Kiwi businesses can actively appreciate.
“YoungShand already has brilliant depth in the digital media team, so it’s going to be exciting to see what we can do together.”
