After a competitive pitch, FCB New Zealand has been appointed as the new creative partner for several of Heinz Wattie’s brands.
The result comes a few months after another pitch win where FCB NZ were appointed as the creative agency responsible for the Australasian launch of Heinz Wattie’s new “Devour” brand.
The pitch win will bring the creative responsibility for several of Heinz Wattie’s brands under FCB’s roof, including the Wattie’s portfolio, Devour, Just Smash, Mediterranean and Chef.
Sherri Zhou, Head of Marketing for Frozen, Chilled and Pet Foods at Heinz Wattie’s says: “The FCB team demonstrated an impressive collaboration approach throughout the process. That gave us the strong confidence and chemistry needed not only for the pitch decision but also for the coming years’ partnership.”
The FCB agency team celebrated the start of their partnership with bubbles, sausage rolls and Wattie’s tomato sauce.
Managing Director Toby Sellers says: “We are excited to be working with a dynamic global food business with such a strong local legacy, and an incredible stable of famous brands.”
Executive Creative Directors Leisa Wall and Peter Vegas add: “This is an absolute career highlight winning Watties, we’re cracking a can of spaghetti to celebrate.”
FCB and Heinz Wattie’s will begin their partnership immediately.
