MediaWorks has appointed Liz Fraser as the company’s new Commercial Director.
Fraser will bring her extensive 22+ years media experience to focus on the growth of MediaWorks’ radio, out-of-home and digital businesses and realise the potential of these market leading platforms.
Currently General Manager, Customer, at Air New Zealand, she has been responsible for leading the customer services and customer experience divisions as well as the airline’s travel management business, Tandem Travel.
Having worked in a variety of senior leadership roles for the airline including Regional General Manager for the USA, Canada and South American markets, Fraser began her career in the media industry, initially at TVNZ.
With broad experience across a diverse portfolio including sales, marketing and television programming, Fraser is returning to MediaWorks having previously led the sales and commercial teams across radio, TV and digital as Group Head of Revenue, as well as TV Sales and Marketing Director.
MediaWorks CEO, Michael Anderson, says Fraser’s experience and track record in the industry will prove invaluable as the business focuses on growing its radio, out-of-home and digital platforms.
“Liz is an undeniable talent—not only is she a brilliant thinker, but she is also a natural and experienced leader. She has a track record—and an ongoing appetite— for taking on commercial opportunities that drive great results. On behalf of MediaWorks, we are thrilled to have her on board as we continue to build on our incredible momentum across our business.”
Fraser adds: “I am truly excited about joining the team at MediaWorks and returning to an industry I have loved for many years. There are many new growth opportunities to explore and how we develop and grow these is going to be exciting for us all.”
Her start date will be confirmed in due course.
