Experience and digital consultancy DNA have announced the appointment of independent directors Ziena Jalil and Diana Puketapu to help shape its future.
The agency say that these appointments have been made in mind of the growth in New Zealand’s diversity which is set to accelerate. This includes Maori and other communities. “We recognised the need to bring a greater diversity of experience to our strategic leadership and Board,” DNA says in a statement issued.
With a career ranging from diplomat to business leader to entrepreneur across New Zealand and Asia, Jalil draws on a rich experience of many worlds to bring equity and opportunity to those with diverse cultures, abilities and experiences. She consults on strategy, communications and stakeholder engagement and is a board member of Manukau Institute of Technology, Unitec, and the Cancer Society Auckland Northland.
Puketapu has a background in corporate New Zealand, and her career has included a role as Chief Financial Officer for professional America’s Cup sailing teams across two America’s Cup campaigns. She currently sits on the Boards of Napier Port Holdings, Ngati Porou Holdings, crown-owned Tamaki Regeneration Company, privately-owned Manawanui Support Limited, as well as the New Zealand Olympic Committee and New Zealand Cricket.
Jalil and Puketapu are said to bring strategic, commercial and governance experience to the Board.
CEO Steve Maskell and Managing Director Grenville Main say that they are incredibly excited about the potential to be unlocked within DNA by the two new appointment. “As a leading agency of human-centred design and digital experience innovation, we see the new directors as critical to helping shape a future for DNA that will help make New Zealand a better place for all.”
