LONDON, Today: Nearly half of all Kiwi adults believe they will spend more money online than in stores this year, according to new research out of UK marketing site WARC.
Australians will spend slightly more (52%) but the biggest online hotspots will be Turkey, China, South Korea, Malaysia, Singapore and Great Britain.
Dragging the chain is France (33%). The WARC data did not include comparisons from previous surveys.

Globally, nearly three in five adults (57%) say they will spend more online than in stores. Just one in three (34%) say this is unlikely and that they will instead spend more in stores.
WARC comments: “Traditional retailers, e-commerce platforms and social media are now battling over these consumers as they look to attract audiences.
“Shopping experiences that are more immersive and interactive will be a key strategy for engaging consumers in the future.”
