Live On Air

AUCKLAND, Today: Tickets have gone on sale for the 2021 NZ Radio Awards – a live event being held at Sky City Theatre on Thursday 10 June in Auckland.

Guests will arrive from 4.30pm where they will be guided directly into the Theatre. No refreshments will be served beforehand.

The Awards will commence promptly at 5pm as they will be simulcast and to allow time for everyone to celebrate together afterwards.

At the conclusion of the Awards, there will be a short walk from the Theatre to the Sweat Shop, 7 Sale St where food & drinks will be served until 11pm.

Tickets cost $ 75+gst.

Networks have a set number of tickets each and they will be allocating them to their finalists and staff as in previous years. The contact for tickets within each network are:

“The show will be simulcast – so it will commence promptly at 5pm.”

RBA members, other independent station finalists and other radio industry groups also have tickets for allocation. These ticket requests should be sent to: Janine Bliss – info@rba.co.nz

Two tickets for each finalist entry will be held and available to purchase until 21 May. After that date they will go to people on a waitlist.

All non-network finalists will need to pay/arrange for their company to pay for tickets. Any independent finalist who requires more than their allocated 2 tickets will go on a waitlist until it’s known what additional tickets are available after 21 May.

NZME’s Newstalk ZB network – with 16 finalists – leads the shortlist, followed by NZME (11 finalists), MediaWorks (10), Radio Hauraki, More FM, and The Breeze (8 apiece), The Hits (6), Plains FM (4), The Rock and Mai FM (3 each), and ZM Flava and Sun FM (1 each).

All the finalists are network stations. Non-commercial network RNZ National scored 26 finalist spots.
