OMD’s hat trick

LONDON, Tuesday: OMD New Zealand won three golds at the annual Festival of Media Global Awards. OMD NZ ceo Nigel Douglas said: “OMD was the only agency represented from New Zealand and this is the second year in a row Fuse OMD NZ has been names Best Social Media Agency in the world.

“This is a phenomenal achievement on the global stage.

“The standard of work at the 15th iteration of the awards was exceptional and some of the best produced in its history with a big emphasis on campaigns which had an element of giving back to local communities or wider society at large.


“The juries were executives from Google, Adidas, Lego, McDonald’s, L’Oréal, Mondelez International and Diageo.”


“This is the second time Festival of Media Global has hosted judging virtually – by a panel of expert judges, who devoted hours on Zoom to debate, discuss and preside over each shortlisted entry in order to decide the final line-up of winners.”

Awards head Louise Byrnes said: “The efforts seen this year are further evidence of the impressive work taking place across the globe – with agencies and brands still able to present remarkable and competitive campaigns, through the most difficult of times.”

The juries comprised executives from Google, Adidas, Lego, McDonald’s, L’Oréal, Mondelez International and Diageo.

The London triple follows OMD NZ’s success at FOMA APAC earlier this year,
