Flying Fish and The Comms Council have announced that Battle of the Ad Bands (BOTAB) is back for a 13th edition, showcasing the best of the advertising industry’s musical rebels.
Bringing together a group of the most influential creative minds, the bands will compete after weeks (some of them days, even the night before) of practice with only one band good enough to take home the winning title.
Upping the stakes, proud sponsors Sixt, Giltrap Group, Audi E Tron, Whittakers, Much Moore Ice Cream, Apex Insurance, Fortis Travel, Prego, and more are back on board. Winning prizes include an Audi E Tron thanks to Sixt for a whole month, $ 500 Winner’s Lunch at Prego, a run of their own Much Moore ice cream flavour and a whole lot more to be won on the night. With a celebrity judging panel, a celebrity MC, and a captive audience all in one room, BOTAB promises to deliver.
Securing the theme for this year, James Moore (MD / EP at Flying Fish) explains: “In a time where we have all been pushed, pulled, forced into rules, making sourdough, compulsory WFH and homeschooling… we wanted the 13th BOTAB to have no limitations, so for 2021 it’s all about ‘Anything Goes’’.
BOTAB 2021 will be held at Galatos, Auckland on Thursday 16th September from 6.00pm till late. Band registration opens on Friday, July 16 and tickets will be on sale from August 23.
Head to www.botab.co.nz for more info and to register your band.
