AUCKLAND, Today: Māori-owned, independent creative agency Run has launched a new campaign for Ako Mātātupu (Teach First NZ), which runs for eight weeks across digital, radio and print.
This predominantly digital campaign is about a prospective teacher looking back at their journey, as they’ve grown up and gone on to achieve great things, then paying that experience forward onto others.
The 30sec hero digital tvc features a student who goes from primary school, to high school, to university, to their first corporate job, and finally back to the classroom again, as a teacher of future generations – a full circle moment.
“We wanted to work with Run because of their indigenous lens and understanding of Aotearoa’s diverse cultural landscape.”
Ali Carroll, Ako Mātātupu head of recruitment, said: “We wanted to work with Run because of their indigenous lens and understanding of Aotearoa’s diverse cultural landscape. The way they approached our brief and how they understood the audiences we’re trying to reach with this campaign means we’re already smashing targets in the first week since launching”.
“We clicked with Ali and the Ako Mātātupu team immediately, and their kaupapa really resonated with us and the mahi we do at RUN,” added Raymond McKay, RUN CCO.
