Māori-owned, independent creative agency RUN has launched a new campaign for Ako Mātātupu (Teach First NZ), which runs for eight weeks across digital, radio and print.
The predominantly digital campaign is about a prospective teacher looking back at their journey, as they’ve grown up and gone on to achieve great things, before then paying that experience forward to others.
In the 30 second hero digital TVC, a young student goes from primary school, to high school, to university, to their first corporate job, and finally back to the classroom again as a teacher of future generations – a full circle moment.
Ako Mātātupu Head of Recruitment, Ali Carroll says: “We wanted to work with RUN because of their indigenous lens and understanding of Aotearoa’s diverse cultural landscape.
“The way they approached our brief and how they understood the audiences we’re trying to reach with this campaign means we’re already smashing targets in the first week since launching.”
RUN CCO Raymond McKay says: “We clicked with Ali and the Ako Mātātupu team immediately, and their kaupapa really resonated with us and the mahi we do at RUN.”
