Musicians join MediaWorks’ vaccination campaign

A number of well known musicians across the country are putting their face to MediaWorks’ vaccination tally campaign.

The campaign uses MediaWorks’ digital out-of-home billboards to keep the country updated on the latest vaccination numbers. 

It also features some of MediaWorks’ radio personalities such as Tegan Yorwarth and Nickson Clark from Mai, Tammy Davis from George, Sharyn Casey and Meg Mansell from The Edge, Robert Scott from The Breeze and Jay Jay Feeney from More FM alongside the slogan ‘I’ve done my bit to save summer’.

MediaWorks Commercial Director Liz Fraser says MediaWorks is thrilled to have well known musicians Jon Toogood from Shihad, Damian Alexander from Blindspott and Hollie Smith get behind the campaign to drive vaccination numbers as high as possible.

Fraser says: “It’s great to have these musicians support our campaign to help encourage New Zealanders to get vaccinated so they can get back to entertaining audiences quicker.”

MediaWorks’ radio brands are also supporting the drive to get New Zealanders vaccinated with the campaign extended across its radio digital assets with a number of station-led initiatives bringing attention to the cause. The Edge has launched a ‘Vaxcation’ competition – giving away a trip for four to Rarotonga – but the catch is people have to be vaccinated to enter and Robert Scott from The Breeze has created a parody to Sharon O’Neill’s 1983 hit ‘Maxine’ called ‘Vaccine’.
