AUCKLAND, Friday: Professor Byron Sharp – a Kiwi based at the University of South Australia – will take to the stage in Auckland in March next year to open the iMedia Modern Media Summit.
Prof Sharp is known for his work on loyalty programmes with Ehrenberg-Bass, a global centre for research into marketing. The iMedia Summit (scroll down for the link) will now be held at the Hilton Taupo on Wednesday & Thursday 30 & 31 March.
The original summit last year was canned by Covid.
iMedia’s Ryf Quail (Sydney-based) said: “His first book, How Brands Grow: what marketers don’t know, has been called one of the most influential marketing books in the past decade.
“‘How Brands Grow’ is 10 years old this year but still holds pride of place on the bookshelf of leading CMOs across the globe.”
“iMedia Modern Media Summit is a new conference that champions thought leadership across the media industry. Unlike other conferences iMedia Modern Media summit brings together media experts from clients, agencies, and vendors for a shared learning experience.
“I am really excited to confirm Professor Sharp will be delivering a keynote at the iMedia Modern Media Summit New Zealand.
“How Brands Grow is 10 years old this year but still holds pride of place on the bookshelf of many leading CMOs across the globe. To have Byron speaking in New Zealand is fantastic for all the media leaders lucky enough to attend.”
