Sarah Stuart has been appointed to the new role of Head of Life Media at Stuff.
Stuart will take editorial responsibility for Stuff’s market leading life products across digital, magazines and newspapers, as well as work with other parts of the business to bring new content and product opportunities to life.
She is currently General Manager of Communications, Government Relations and Sustainability at Fletcher Construction. Prior to this, Stuart led the corporate affairs function at KiwiRail and was Chief Press Secretary for Labour.
Stuff Chief Executive Sinead Boucher says: “Sarah has extensive editorial experience in both newspapers and magazines, having worked for NZME, APN, INL and News Limited Australia over the years.
“After several years in senior corporate affairs roles, we are delighted she is returning to media. Sarah has the right mix of strategic insight, creativity and influence to be successful in this role, and we look forward to seeing how she can help us have an even bigger impact on Aotearoa.”
Stuart says she is thrilled to be joining an organisation with the mana of Stuff.
“I watched in admiration as Sinead bought the company back into New Zealand ownership 18 months ago and as she has grown its talent pool and reputation. Being offered the opportunity to help Stuff grow in its next phase is a real privilege.”
She starts her new role in January.
