AUCKLAND, Wednesday: Billboard/bus media company Go Media has banded together with top New Zealand promoters and artists to push the Vax for Live campaign.
Layton Lillas, the owner of Showcase Entertainment Group and a member of the NZ Promoters Association, said: “Promoters are deeply appreciative for the support of Go Media in getting the #Vaxforlive message out on their billboards across Aotearoa New Zealand.
“Live entertainment – whether it be music, comedy, musical theatre or family entertainment – needs a fully vaccinated public so that we can all feel safe sharing the experience of gathering together again.
“For many of us, an integral part of the Kiwi summer involves event and festival hopping throughout the country. However, this may all come to a halt if Aotearoa is unable to have 90% of the population vaccinated by summer.
“We want a safe and quick return to public gatherings, and for this we need you to be vaccinated.”
“Whether it be 50,000 people Western Springs, a sold-out Regent on Broadway in Palmerston North, or a little pub in the Coromandel that has live music on a Saturday night, we know thousands of New Zealanders are missing being in an audience and having an awesome time, so we want a safe and quick return to public gatherings, and for this we need you to be vaccinated.”
Go Media MD Mike Gray said: “As a company that has always backed local artists and festivals, Go Media understands the mammoth effort and time committed to pull these events off.
“To see and hear that some events are considering postponement or cancellation is absolutely devastating – not only for the event hosts and teams, but for the artists, the vendors, local townships and of course, the attendees.”
Currently, Go Media are running the Vax for Live campaign and will be doing so across their national network of 55 digital screens.
